Process Engineering Lead (Accurate Composites LLC, East Falmouth, MA)
Conduct process development of new processes and troubleshoot present process issues. Optimize current manufacturing processes (including resin mixing/pre-preg production/laminate pressing) in order to reduce scrap, reduce downtime, improve quality and increase throughput. Document new procedures in support of process development and optimization. Issue Engineering Change Orders (ECO) modifying present processes and documentation. Investigate non-conformances, determine root cause and corrective action Design and develop new products and redesign of existing products and processes. Assist in maintaining the Quality Management System and assist in record keeping as well as reporting for safety and compliance. Benchmark unit operations for accurate product cost information. Assist in developing and implementing procedures for environmental compliance, including SWPPP (Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan), Air Permit and Chemical Compliance. Assist with implementing best manufacturing practices for safety compliance. Analyze current methods of production and identify new ways to improve efficiencies by observing operations, conducting research, and interviewing suppliers to fully understand the products and their parts. Create necessary documentation to support projects and maintain accurate records related to proposed changes to the production system including work instructions and Bills of Materials (BOMs), where appropriate. Use strong communication skills (written and verbal) to work closely with management, technical, supervisory and production personnel to assist in the implementation of Lean plans and projects. Salary: $89,149 - $120,000 per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master’s Degree or U.S. equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, plus 2 years of professional experience as Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Engineer, or any occupation/position/job title involving manufacturing and production.
Must also have experience in the following: 2 years of professional experience working in a manufacturing environment; 2 years of professional experience working with coating line and laminate pressing; 2 years of professional experience working with plastics and composites; 2 years of professional experience with resin mixing, coating process, and laminate press process.
